HODITH
An Android app to check gut feelings against reality
Sometimes a thought hits you: "this always happens," or "this never happens anymore." Usually you don't actually know. HODITH lets you check. Open a Case on something you think happens too often or not often enough, like a sleepless night, skipping lunch because work ran over, or the kids squabbling at breakfast. Log it every time it happens, and let the app tell you once there's enough data: fact, or just a feeling.
Optionally, state a Hunch about how often you think it happens. With too few logs, HODITH says "early days" instead of pretending to know.
Your privacy matters: everything lives on your phone. No accounts, no cloud, no analytics, and the app doesn't request network permission. Export and import your data as JSON any time.
What's in the app
- Log in one tap from a home-screen widget, or open a detail sheet for intensity, duration, notes, and tags.
- Hunches and verdicts: tell the app how often you think something happens, and it waits for real data before answering.
- The Big Picture: every Case on one shared calendar, so patterns across different parts of your life become visible at a glance.
- Per-case visuals and stats: a dot timeline, a year-in-pixels calendar, a day-of-week × time-of-day rhythm heatmap, gaps, trends, durations, intensity.
- Triggers: a factual heads-up when something happens 3+ times in a week, or hasn't happened in 14 days.
- Three themes, three voices: Plain, Intense, and Bright change the colors and every word the app says.
- Share the reveal: turn a Case into a story-style card with the case, the hunch, the evidence, and the verdict.
- Your data stays yours: everything stays on the phone. Export/import as JSON anytime.
HODITH is heading into closed testing on Android soon. Want to be notified when it opens?
